Tiger Woods Foundation

The Tiger Woods Foundation (TWF) focuses on providing opportunities to children who are underserved.  Tiger Woods writes in his letter, "Through personal enrichment programs, scholarships, direct grants, junior golf clinics and the new Tiger Woods Learning Center, the Foundation is helping millions of children reach their dreams."

The average TWF grant range is between $2,500 and $25,000.  They focus on the following areas of funding:

  • Programs and projects that enhance the learning process for children.
  • Transitional programs for young adults to become productive adults.
  • Programs that enable children to have access to the necessities of life, prevent abuse and violence, and improve health and development.
  • Projects should improve the delivery of services to children at greatest risk.
  • Year-round mentoring and/or tutoring programs that help youth build self-esteem positive values, expand opportunities and increase their potential.

The Tiger Woods Foundation primarily funds organizations and programs that are based in urban American cities. Below are some programs from Massachusetts who have recently received grants from TWF:

  • Hockoomok YMCA - N. Attleboro, MA
  • MGA Forekids - Norton, MA
  • Reach Out and Read! - Somerville, MA
  • Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries - Boston, MA

There are four grant cycles per year, and grants are awarded every quarter. A complete list of awarded organizations and other grant application information is posted on their website at www.twfound.org
